Gameday North Scottsdale owner Cristi Harris recently appeared on Arizona’s Family to discuss the importance of regular men’s checkups — and how Gameday’s 12 Valley locations are helping men take back control of their health

Speaking to journalist Jaime Cerreta, Harris emphasized the importance of getting men to the doctor for essential checkups, while acknowledging it can be a challenge, even for her family.

“I’m a mom of three boys and I’ve got a husband and if I’m not the one taking them, they don’t go. Perfect example, my grown son, I flew 2,000 miles to Ohio to take him to the doctor because he was like ‘I don’t know what to say.’”

Gameday’s welcoming, man-cave environment is designed to make men feel at ease, removing the barrier of a cold, uncomfortable clinic that steers men away, while also fitting these essential appointments into men’s busy schedules.

“We’re just trying to make a really inviting place where men feel comfortable, “ Harris said. “We try to make it very easy. You’re in, you’re out, you get your results. We all have on-site labs so your test results are ready in minutes.”

Harris also spoke about Gameday’s effect on her own family. When the Harris family was set to open their North Scottsdale clinic in 2023, Cristi’s husband Morgan was among the men who received a PSA blood test as the team was calibrating their equipment.

The test revealed dangerously high PSA levels, prompting a visit to a urologist — and a diagnosis of prostate cancer. Fortunately, because it was caught early, Morgan’s treatment was swift and successful.

“Because we caught it early he’s now almost two years cancer free,” said Harris. “There’s no symptoms or signs of prostate cancer. This simple free blood test saves lives…. Our initial consultation includes testosterone testing, and PSA testing, which is an indicator for prostate cancer. So we’re big advocates of getting tested.”

In addition to PSA screening, Harris also emphasized the numerous ways in which Gameday Men’s Health can help men take back control of their health. This includes erectile dysfunction and testosterone treatments, weight management solutions, and peptides for improving energy levels and promoting muscle development.

Ultimately, Harris had one message for men who have been neglecting getting treatment. “Just get in the habit of going to the doctor … Go in, get your levels checked, see where you’re at, and if your levels are fine, perfect, come back next year.”
