HOW DOES

THE P-SHOT ® WORK?

Here’s how it works:

A P-Shot injection contains a concentration of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood. Platelet-Rich Plasma has several important factors for cell recruitment that help your body function optimally. When PRP is injected into the penis, it may stimulate cellular repair and regeneration to improve sexual function. Additionally, PRP increases the amount of collagen production, which promotes tissue repair.

STEP O1

To obtain the Platelet-Rich Plasma, a small amount of blood is first drawn from your arm.

STEP O2

Your blood sample is then placed into a centrifuge, which spins your blood at high speeds to separate out the platelets and plasma. This process takes around 15 minutes.

STEP O3

Once the centrifuge has completed spinning your blood sample, a layer of PRP remains and is then extracted into a syringe.

STEP O4

A numbing cream is then applied to your penis, ensuring you are comfortable and pain free.

STEP O5

The PRP is then injected into multiple locations in the penis. The entire appointment takes approximately 30 mins. The P-shot is an outpatient procedure and you can drive yourself home following treatment.

Your first appointment will be a free consultation with GameDay Men’s Health, a P-shot provider in Southern California. A full review of your symptoms and medical history will be conducted in order to ensure you are a candidate for P-Shot treatment and to help you achieve the best results possible. We may also do a quick blood test at our in-office lab to test your total testosterone levels. We get these results back in 15 minutes.

If you are found to be a candidate for treatment, a second appointment will be scheduled for the P-Shot injection to take place.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY P-SHOT ® INJECTION?

While there is minimal downtime following your P-Shot treatment, it is recommended you use a Vacuum Erection Device (VED) or “penis pump”. The VED will be used twice per day for a few minutes and continued for 2 weeks. Using the VED increases the amount of blood flow to the penis and helps increase the outcomes of your P-shot injections.

When Can I Resume Sexual Activity Following Treatment?

You can resume sexual activity that same day, within 4 to 6 hours after the treatment.

What are the Potential Side Effects From the P-Shot?

While side effects can vary from person to person, they tend to be minimal (since PRP is taken from your own blood). Side effects, while rare, can include bruising, swelling at the injection site, and bleeding.
